Answers to frequently asked questions about wedding photography!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

*WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

We require a completed booking form and a £400 booking fee to secure your date in our diary. The remaining balance becomes payable 30 days before your wedding date. Please note that dates are limited and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

*DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS IN YORKSHIRE?

We do photograph a lot of weddings in York, Leeds and Harrogate (all in Yorkshire!), but we also travel all over the UK to photograph weddings, and we love having weddings at new venues! We regularly photograph weddings nationally and also happily travel internationally. For all weddings outside of Yorkshire, a travel fee of 40p a mile will be charged. For all weddings over two hours drive from our studio (in between York and Harrogate), we charge £200 to cover accommodation and travel costs.

*HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE OUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS ARE READY?

Your online gallery will be live within 14 days of your wedding date. We will email you the login details as soon as they are ready.

*WHY DO WE HAVE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHS?

It's a great chance to practice being in front of the camera, and you get some extra fabulous photographs of the two of you. It's included in all of our packages free of charge, and you can opt out, but we do recommend you give it a try! It cant be swapped for anything else.

*BUT WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHS?

We offer a gorgeous range of guest books which have your engagement photographs printed in, and most couples choose to have one of these. Of course we also offer a wide range of framed print and canvas collections to showcase your photographs.

*CAN WE HAVE A MIXTURE OF BLACK AND WHITE AS WELL AS COLOUR PHOTOGRAPHS?

Yes! As part of the creative process, a selection of your images are converted to black and white at the editing stage.

*CAN WE ORDER REPRINTS?

Yes, your online gallery includes a reprint ordering service. If you'd like to order prints after this time, please contact us directly.

*CAN WE ADD HOURS IF WE WANT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FOR LONGER THAN 7 HOURS?

Yes, you can add hours at a rate of £95 per hour. If you want coverage of the first dance, please book us to stay for at least half an hour after the first dance is scheduled to allow us to capture it fully.

*CAN YOU TRAVEL ABROAD FOR

WEDDINGS?

Yes! Please call us to discuss your wedding if its taking place abroad. We especially love to travel to tropical weddings ;-)

*WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE TO PHOTOGRAPH OUR WEDDING?

We use fully digital, professional cameras and lenses. Our main camera is a Canon 5D, and we will use a variety of lenses throughout your shoot. We also have a backup camera and lenses just in case!

*WHAT HAPPENS IF YOURE ILL ON THE WEDDING DAY?

In the event that Rebecca can't make it to your wedding (and that is VERY unlikely, she will raise hell and high water to be there), she will ask one of the photographers from the network she belongs to cover your wedding on her behalf. The second photographer will also be there if at all possible.

*CAN WE APPROVE OUR WEDDING ALBUM BEFORE IT GOES TO PRINT?

Yes! Once the photographs to be

included have been chosen, we will

design a proof of the page layouts for you. You can make up to three rounds of changes free of charge. After that, there is a £75 design fee for each round of changes.

*WHO PICKS THE PHOTOGRAPHS FOR OUR ALBUM?

You can either choose all of the photographs for your album, or you can ask us to pick them, or somewhere in between. We recommend that you pick your favourites, and then allow us to choose the rest. This way we can ensure that they compliment the design perfectly.

*HOW LONG WILL OUR WEDDING ALBUM TAKE TO ARRIVE?

All albums are bespoke, and handmade to order, therefore please allow 8 weeks for delivery. We promise they are worth the wait!

*CAN WE HAVE EXTRA PAGES IN OUR WEDDING ALBUM?

Yes, you can add sides to any album for £45 per double spread. This means you can have more photographs!

*DO WE HAVE THE COPYRIGHT TO OUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS?

We always maintain copyright, but this doesn\t mean that you cant use your photographs as you'd like to. You can print them, give them to family and friends, put them on Facebook etc. You just cant sell them to anyone, thats all.

*WHY ARE YOUR DOGS NAMED AFTER FOOD?

Biscuit, Twix and Crumbs are as fond of sweets as we are!
